OPI Mariah Carey Collection

OPI and Mariah Carey have become one launching a nail polish addict’s perfect collection. A mix of glitters, crèmes and even textured polish has wow’d us all. The only down side of this collection is that it’s limited while stocks last, but on the other hand this must mean OPI are preparing yet another jaw dropping collection.

So what did we think to the liquid sand (texture) polish……..this must be one of those love it or hate it looks. We happen to love it but maybe only because we like the wild and wacky look. In the past we’ve used the glitter polishes without a top coat which gives a matte textured finish but doesn’t always wear that well. OPI must be on to something now as a top coat only enhances the look of the liquid sand polish.

The pick of the collection for us at Nail Identity has to be ‘Get Your Number’, we even livened things up by painting the ring finger with ‘Pink Yet Lavender’. Remember when your wearing different polish colours always think about the tones or pick a colour from the opposite side of the colour wheel.

Purchase today at www.nailidentity.com with a 10% discount on orders over £25, that makes Nail Identity one of the cheapest on the net.

7/10 but only because we think OPI can wow us all so much more.

China Glaze Hologlam Collection

So the first question we had on our lips was, how did this compare to the China Glaze OMG collection? Some of the colours are very similar but this time the polish paints on better. The coverage is a lot better than the OMG collection with makes for a better holographic effect. The application was so smooth and with China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat I’m sure they will last. When we applied the Poshe Top Coat the look was lost a bit, we think these work best without a top coat as the shine takes the effect away. In our opinion the final look was more like a foil than a polish, this can be nothing but a plus. These colours could be really good for nail art.

Some of the colours are very similar in this collection with lots of pinks and blues. Maybe this is the look on the catwalks this year. Would have loved a green but hey we can’t have everything. Our favourite colour is ‘Get Outta My Space’, its just really subtitle and girly.

81159 - Infra-Red

The Avant Garden collection

Spring is nearly here and China Glaze are ready with some pastel colours that should wow, China Glaze Avant Garden. An elegant spectrum of bright’s and springy shades that really give any outfit a lift.

The Avant Garden collection consists of shimmers and pastels. These are very subtle shades that really delight the spring moods. Our favourites at nail identity are Dandy Lyin’ Around; Keep Calm, Paint On; and Fancy Pants. The crèmes in this collection paint on in a slightly different why, what we mean is the formula is slightly thinker but in a good way. The polish has great coverage and paints on really well.

7/10 (this is only because we are still so in love with glitter)

Poshe Fast Drying Top Coat

Poshe Fast Drying Top Coat

Poshe Fast Drying Top Coat is a great alternative to Seche Vite Top Coat. Not only does the Poshe Top coat dry really, I mean really, quickly but the gloss finish is amazing. We found the shine did fade after 4 – 5 days but one thin coat of Poshe Top Coat and the shine was back. Compared to other top coats Poshe really did protect the polish underneath. No peeling and it didn’t affect the polish colour.

We’ve tried lots of top coats and this really is up with the best. With its fast drying formula this is a handbag must, you can reapply in minutes anywhere!!

9/10

Enjoy x
